Join us for our monthly farm-to-table experience as we dive into January’s Harvest of the Month – cabbage! Our Registered Dietitians, Kristen and Rachel, will guide your family through an engaging class of culinary skill building, nutrition education, and gardening tips.
Don’t miss this chance to nourish your family’s connection to food and community! You will leave with knowledge of how to cut/process cabbage different ways, create recipes that optimize cabbage nutrition and flavor, and grow this vegetable at home. We will prepare tastings of Nourish's Vitamin C Super Slaw (cabbage is high in C!), Cabbage Steaks, Cranberry and Sauerkraut Meatballs. Kristen and Rachel will discuss how different cooking/processing methods impact the nutrition. For example, the process of fermentation when making sauerkraut provides beneficial bacteria that help nourish our guts. Supporting our digestive systems may help decrease inflammation and support the health of our brains, too!
Tickets for this class are $50 for two family members and $15 per additional family member. Pre-registration is required and tickets are limited!
