Nourish offers a general internship opportunity, allowing interns to gain a wide-range of professional experience while still taking on an emphasis in one sector of our programming. Interns are expected to create their own learning objectives to help guide their experience. Listed below are the different internship tracks Nourish offers:

Educational Farm Nourish operates a 13-acre campus with a variety of gardens, providing an educational opportunity for those looking to learn more about growing food and sustainable food systems including, but not limited to: orchard maintenance, composting, honey-bee care, pest maintenance, weed suppression, and soil building. Culinary Nourish has a 2,980 sq. ft. commercial & residential kitchen that is the heart of our programming. This space provides an educational opportunity for those looking to understand important kitchen policies & procedures while exploring unique ways of preparing from-scratch food. Farm-to-School The core of Nourish’s approach to inspire the community to make more wholesome food choices is to provide experiential hands-on education opportunities. So, naturally we work with schools and learning centers in the area to teach kids about healthy eating and how to grow food. Learning opportunities include but are not limited to: effective education styles, researching and designing hands-on lessons, delivering to students, and helping to build relationships with education centers. Administrative/Nonprofit Management Nourish is a small 501c3 nonprofit, offering many back-of-house professional skill-building opportunities such as: assisting with mailing lists, data entry, working with Neon CRM donor management software, managing inventory, grant tracking, and assisting with general operations. Dietetic Internship Rotation Nourish has served as a community nutrition rotation site for nearly a dozen nutrition students and students pursuing their dietetic internship.
