Nourish began celebrating “Good Food Champions” back in 2017, starting a tradition at its annual fundraiser, the Good Food Party, held each fall. The award recognizes an individual or group that has had significant influence on introducing healthy and local foods in our community and/or has had an impact in advancing nutrition education. Previous recipients include:
Caren Johnson: Plymouth School District Food Service Director (2022)
Hmong Farmers of Sheboygan County (2021)
Kate Krause: Owner of Paradigm Coffee & Music and co-founder of the Goodside Grocery co-op. (2019)
Peter and Bernadette Seely: Owners of Springdale Farms in Plymouth, Wis. (2018)
Judi Smith: Former nutrition coordinator for the Sheboygan Public School District (2017)
To nominate our next Good Food Champion in Sheboygan County, please email our Executive Director.
Final decisions will be made by a volunteer and Nourish staff committee.
