Save Soil with Kweku Korankye

Join Kweku for a presentation on protecting soil, June 23 from 5-6pm at Nourish Farms!

"My name is Kweku Korankye, an undergraduate freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in Environmental Engineering. I hope to integrate ecosystems into communities to combat climate change. This started with my interest in nature as a child, through nature documentaries, educational programs, and spending a lot of time in nature. Later on, this got integrated with engineering once I got involved with robotics in high school. Ever since, I have been passionate about raising awareness about soils and ecosystems, especially through my work with the Save Soil Movement. I will share information about the Save Soil Movement and how everyone can get involved in its mission to advance soil health. See you soon!"

This presentation is free to attend, sign up ahead of time is appreciated but not required. Nourish reserves the right to cancel this event if the minimum number of participants is not met.

Adult Cooking Class: Sourdough Bread Making with Hopefully Homesteading

Join guest Amanda Strojinc of Hopefully Homesteading LLC for this hands-on sourdough bread making class class, ideal for date night or a friends’ night out! We walk through a complete recipe and everyone practices the autolyse, mix, dough strengthening (stretch/folds) and sets up their own starter. Everyone will leave with a loaf of bread half way through bulk fermentation and the beginning of a sourdough starter. There will be loaves at various stages on display and an additional demo on baking and shaping/scoring.
