Volunteer

Nourish welcomes volunteers as individuals or as larger groups of co-workers, friends or family members seeking a group project or as a regular volunteer effort. Below are several volunteer opportunities. To inquire, consider filling out this volunteer application and let us know what areas interest you!

On the farm: Volunteers can help us maintain the gardens by watering, tilling, mulching, weeding, seeding, composting, and harvesting the foods that will be served to schools and other Nourish programs.

In the Nourish kitchens: Volunteers are also popular helping us in the kitchen, preparing and serving snacks and food during our Farm-to-School and Farm-to-Community programs such as the adult and children’s cooking classes, community dinners and more! Check out the list below for the upcoming opportunities.

At youth-serving programs: Volunteers can assist at schools and with other school-aged programs, or help behind the scenes with Good Food Club snack preparation.

Good Food Club Snack Prep Help out in the Nourish kitchen preparing a healthy snack for our Good-Food Club programs in the schools, local youth-serving agencies, and on-site at Nourish. Learn cooking techniques and healthy recipes while making nutritious food for local youth.

Cooking Classes Our community dinners and adult and kids cooking classes can use help prepping, cooking, serving and cleaning up.

Setup Volunteers What better way to get moving with a light workout than helping set up our loft and kitchen spaces for programs and rentals. All private rental payments directly support our nonprofit programming, and volunteers take it one step further by helping staff get seating layouts ready.

Group Volunteers We can also accommodate groups that are interested in doing farm or kitchen volunteer projects at Nourish. Please email our Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator by clicking here to discuss group dates, times and projects.
