Kickstart Your Health: Breaking the Food Seduction
Start the new year feeling energized and confident in the kitchen. Elaine Jumes of Farsighted Foodie is back in 2026 with a 5-week healthy cooking series designed to help you take meaningful steps toward a plant-based lifestyle.
Throughout the series, Elaine will guide participants through five core topics: Power of Your Plate, Let’s Go, Getting in Gear, Breaking the Food Seduction, and Keys for Natural Appetite Control. Each class includes a live cooking demonstration along with handouts featuring easy, affordable recipes you can prepare at home.

Time: 6:00–8:00 PM

Cost: $45 per class, or $180 for all five sessions when you register before January 11.
Class 1: The Power of Your Plate
This 1st class in the 5-part cooking-class series will focus on getting ready to start a low-fat, plant-based diet – guiding participants to consider what this diet entails, what groceries to purchase, and what a healthful menu will look like. Discover how power foods are and what a difference a few small changes can make. NOTE: This class may be taken as a stand-alone if unable to commit to the whole series.
Class 2: Diving into the 21-Day Kickstart: “Let’s Go!”
This 2nd class in the 5-part cooking-class series jumps into the Kickstart, implementing best practices, combined with easy tools to successfully start a low-fat, plant-based diet for the next three weeks (21-Day Kickstart). NOTE: This class may be taken as a stand-alone if unable to commit to the whole series.
Class 3: Getting in Gear: Being Empowered w/ Education & Support
This 3rd class in the 5-part cooking-class series embarks on addressing overcoming any challenges and building on positive & often immediate results. Everything from preparing foods at home to navigating how to eat on the road to mastering social situations. NOTE: This class may be taken as a stand-alone if unable to commit to the whole series.
Class 4: Breaking the Food Seduction
This 4th class in the 5-part cooking-class series examines the elephant in the room: Addictive Foods. With a deep dive into commonly addictive foods, what can be done to break food addictions is addressed: tackling triggers & quieting cravings. NOTE: This class may be taken as a stand-alone if unable to commit to the whole series.
Class 5: Keys for Natural Appetite Control
In this 5th & final class of the 5-part cooking-class series, the focus is on a powerful macro-ingredient that plays a huge role in natural appetite suppression. The discovery may surprise you! Learn how to identify nutritional nonsense & replace it with easy to digest nutritional knowledge – paving the way for successful weight-loss, improved health, & disease prevention.
