Farm to Table Catering & Demonstrations
Nourish offers a general internship opportunity, allowing interns to gain a wide-range of professional experience while still taking on an emphasis in one sector of our programming. Interns are expected to create their own learning objectives to help guide their experience. Listed below are the different internship tracks Nourish offers: Educational Farm Nourish operates a 13-acre campus with a variety of gardens, providing an educational opportunity for those looking to learn more about growing food and sustainable food systems including, but not limited to: orchard maintenance, composting, honey-bee care, pest maintenance, weed suppression, and soil building. This space provides an educational opportunity for those looking to understand important kitchen policies & procedures while exploring unique ways of preparing from-scratch food. So, naturally we work with schools and learning centers in the area to teach kids about healthy eating and how to grow food. Learning opportunities include but are not limited to: effective education styles, researching and designing hands-on lessons, delivering to students, and helping to build relationships with education centers. Dietetic Internship Rotation Nourish has served as a community nutrition rotation site for nearly a dozen nutrition students and students pursuing their dietetic internship.
