Dine with Neighbors

Nourish currently hosts 4 community dinners annually. Each dinner has a theme and a 3-course meal using seasonal, local ingredients. Nourish Community Dinners create an experience where community members can gather to learn about food preparation while enjoying a meal created with seasonal, local ingredients. These dinners bring together people of differing backgrouns in a way that stimulates discussion and unity over good food.

Event Dates

June 20th 

Spring Strings on the Farm

Location: Educational Urban Farm (Across from RCS Empowers, 1607 Geele Avenue, Sheboygan)

Music: local blues guitarist, Jim Ohlschmidt

  • Appetizer: House-made crackers with assorted local cheeses, radishes, and scallions.
  • First Course: Mixed greens from the Nourish Educational Urban Farm and/or Springdale Farm with house-made salad dressing.
  • Main Course: Plymouth Springs Fish Co. grilled trout, Nourish Educational Urban Farm and/or Perennial Farms asparagus, mixed grain pilaf.
  • Dessert: Rhubarb cream puffs.
  • Beverage: Strawberry Lemonade.

Each event will include an appetizer, beverages, a 3 course meal featuring local produce and a relaxing evening.

Garden Pizza and Pipes

Location: Educational Urban Farm (Across from RCS Empowers, 1607 Geele Avenue, Sheboygan)

  • Appetizer: Caprese salad made with heirloom garden tomatoes.
  • First Course: Fresh seasonal garden salad.
  • Main Course: Grilled pizza with Nourish Educational Urban Farm fresh veggies, local cheese and meats, house-made crusts, and various sauces.
  • Dessert: Fresh fruit sorbet (raspberry or blackberry).
  • Beverage: Seasonal Infused Water.

  • First Course: Spinach salad with toasted pumpkin seeds and house-made dressing.
  • Main Course: Ginger glazed pork, roasted brussels sprouts, stuffed baked apples.
  • Dessert: Sweet potato cheesecake.
  • Seasonal Beverage: Spiced Ginger Beverage.
